Hello There!
I am a surface designer who creates fanciful, classic animal and botanical illustrations with an eye for detail. I work in digital and in watercolor, hand drawing and painting illustrations and patterns based off of my surroundings and my imagination.
On most days, you can find me drawing with a cat on my lap, or strolling the woods and meadow in Mid-Michigan, alongside my husband and daughter, dreaming up ideas of what to paint next.
A little more about my background...
Along with a Bachelors of Arts in watercolor and oil painting, I run my own wholesale stationery business, Folk Meadow, established in 2023. The rest of my professional career, I have worked as a retail gift boutique manager, which taught me to identify trends and integrate evergreen products, the art of creative display and merchandising, as well as customer service. As a craftsperson, with over 20 years of jewelry design experience, I have learned to target trends and translate that into high quality, finished products. With this varied background, I've learned the importance of communication, attention to detail, and creating items that people love, and that stand the test of time. I strive to bring all of these qualities to my design work, and to my clients.
Because I work in both traditional watercolor and digital illustration (Procreate and Photoshop), often combining them together to create work that has a hand painted feel, it is easy to customize and adapt to multiple applications. I love to see artwork come to life on a product that is accessible to everyone.
